Players of The Elder Scrolls Online who faced temporary account lockouts due to server issues will be receiving compensation in the form of in-game items, as revealed by developer ZeniMax Online Studios in their approach to addressing the incident. The popular MMORPG, published by Bethesda Softworks, recently marked its 10th anniversary.

A new build of the Public Test Server for The Elder Scrolls Online was launched on April 15, offering players a preview of the content coming in the game's upcoming Gold Road expansion. However, a problem with the beta server led to the shutdown of the live PC NA server, causing inconvenience for some players who found themselves locked out of their accounts. ZeniMax Online Studios has decided to compensate those affected by providing various in-game items as a gesture of goodwill.

In a statement on The Elder Scrolls Online forums, Gina Bruno, Senior Community Manager at ZeniMax Online Studios, announced that accounts locked during the recent PTS and PC NA server issues will receive compensation including 16,000 Seals of Endeavor, 5 Glorious Anniversary Jubilee Gift Boxes, and 25 Jubilee Confetti Packs, among other items. The affected accounts were restored to their pre-incident state during a server maintenance on April 25. Seals of Endeavor are a valuable currency in the game's Crown Crate cash shop, a part of the game's payment model that has sparked controversy.

Concurrently, the Anniversary Jubilee Event in The Elder Scrolls Online, which coincided with the game's 10th anniversary in April, was extended by two days to April 25 for all PC players due to the server complications. The anniversary celebrations included the release of free content like a prologue for the Gold Road expansion.
