YouTube sensation and online personality Addison Pierre Maalouf, better known as YourFellowArab, has been taken hostage for ransom while in Haiti. This internet star is recognized for his diverse content covering a wide range of topics across different countries.
Recently, YourFellowArab, affectionately referred to as Arab, hinted at an upcoming risky adventure through a tweet about an undisclosed trip. Traveling to foreign lands for content creation is a common practice among influencers. Several weeks later, reports surfaced from sources close to Arab, like Lalem, confirming that he had been kidnapped by a Haitian gang and held captive for more than two weeks.
As per a translated report from Haiti24 via Dexerto, Arab and his companion were seized by the 400 Mawozo gang, the most prominent criminal faction in Haiti. The gang has demanded a ransom of $600,000 for the release of the hostages, with an initial payment of $40,000 reportedly made. Presently, both the US and Haitian governments have yet to comment on the situation.
