Microsoft has unveiled the upcoming additions coming to Xbox Game Pass in April 2024. This new wave comprises six titles, with some exclusive to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members.
Since the beginning of the month, Microsoft has introduced nine new titles to its on-demand gaming library. Among these releases is Harold Halibut, a distinctive narrative adventure featuring stop-motion animation. This game made its debut on April 16 as a day-one release.
Shortly after the arrival of Harold Halibut, Microsoft revealed the second wave of games for Xbox Game Pass in April 2024. The newly confirmed titles include Orcs Must Die! 3, EA Sports NHL 24, and Have a Nice Death. The remaining part of the lineup consists of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, Another Crab's Treasure, and Manor Lords. These last three games were already known to be part of Microsoft's library as they were announced as day-one releases for Xbox Game Pass.
Upcoming Xbox Game Pass Titles for April 2024
The first game to be added to Xbox Game Pass will be Orcs Must Die! 3, an action tower defense game from 2020, set to launch on April 17. Following that, EA Sports NHL 24 will be available on the service. As with all Electronic Arts games on the platform, this ice hockey simulation will require the EA Play add-on, a benefit for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. However, since EA Sports NHL 24 lacks a PC version, it will only be accessible to Xbox console users with an Ultimate membership.
The critically acclaimed roguelike Have a Nice Death will complete the lineup for Xbox Game Pass in April 2024. Developed by Magic Design Studios in France, this stylish indie game is scheduled for release on April 30, just over a year after its initial launch. Have a Nice Death will be the first traditional roguelike game to join Xbox Game Pass in spring 2024. It received widespread acclaim upon release, with Metacritic review scores ranging from 77 to 81, depending on the platform.
If no unexpected releases occur in the next two weeks, Xbox Game Pass is set to introduce a total of 15 new games in April 2024. This month will mark the busiest release period for the service this year. Despite the influx of new titles, the loss of six games on April 15 and an additional six on April 30 will balance out the overall library for the month.
