Xbox Game Pass will see the departure of four games, including Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden, later today. This follows the recent addition of We Happy Few and Super Mega Baseball 4, the latter being an exclusive for Ultimate members.
Changes to the Xbox Game Pass catalog usually occur every few days, primarily focusing on new title additions. However, game removals typically take place on the 15th and last day of the month.
Today, on January 15, Xbox Game Pass is scheduled to bid farewell to Garden Story, MotoGP 22, Persona 3 Portable, and Persona 4 Golden. These departures were announced in mid-December. Additionally, the Windows Edition of MotoGP 22 is currently subject to an 85% discount on the Xbox Store, allowing players to continue enjoying it for $7.49 after its exit from the subscription service. Meanwhile, the two departing Persona games and the ARPG Garden Story remain available at their original prices of $19.99 and $21.99, respectively.

Garden Story and MotoGP 22 have had substantial tenures in the Xbox Game Pass catalog, being added to Microsoft's library in July 2022. On the other hand, Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden have been available via Xbox Game Pass for almost a year, having been added on January 19, 2023. This one-year availability aligns with the standard practice for Atlus RPGs, similar to the period Persona 5 Royal was on Xbox Game Pass before leaving the service in October.
Subscribers who didn't finish Persona 3 Portable should note that Persona 3 Reload has been confirmed as a day-one Xbox Game Pass release since mid-2023. The remake of the third installment in the franchise is set to launch on February 2, albeit without the alternative female protagonist from P3P.
Despite these impending departures, January 2024 has already been eventful for Xbox Game Pass members, with Microsoft adding six new titles to the subscription service over the past two weeks. Furthermore, at least five more games are poised to join the Xbox Game Pass library by the end of the month, including Resident Evil 2, Turnip Boy Robs a Bank, and Go Mecha Ball.
