Remedy’s acclaimed action-adventure game Control is back on Xbox Game Pass, this time in its Ultimate Edition, providing subscribers with an upgraded gaming experience. Originally released in August 2019, the game initially wasn't planned for Xbox Game Pass, but eventually joined the service, contributing to its milestone of attracting 10 million players within two years.

Xbox Game Pass regularly updates its game offerings, introducing new titles and removing some existing ones. In February 2022, Control was taken off the service, disappointing many subscribers.

Now, the enhanced Control Ultimate Edition is part of the Xbox Game Pass library. There are two versions of the Ultimate Edition tailored for different Xbox consoles. One version is optimized for Xbox Series X/S, while the other is playable on Xbox One without the advanced graphics enhancements. Additionally, the standard edition of Control is back on Xbox Game Pass, compatible with both current and last-gen Xbox consoles.
