Xbox Game Pass is facing the departure of Amnesia: Rebirth and five additional games. These titles are scheduled to leave the platform on April 15, marking a notable wave of exits from Xbox Game Pass.

Normally, Microsoft's subscription service experiences game departures in the middle and end of each month, but these usually involve just a handful of titles. For instance, Xbox Game Pass recently bid farewell to three games on March 31 and another three on March 16. In contrast, the upcoming wave of departures in April 2024 will be the most significant since the beginning of the year.

The list of games leaving on April 15 includes Amnesia Collection, Amnesia: Rebirth, Back 4 Blood, Phantom Abyss, Research and Destroy, and Soma. Notably, the Amnesia Collection consists of the first two entries in the series, technically resulting in the loss of seven games during this period. Fans of horror games, particularly the Amnesia series and Soma, may feel the impact of this upcoming departure.

Xbox Game Pass Departures on April 15

Players who have yet to begin these games may struggle to finish more than one before they vanish from the platform. Soma and the Amnesia titles are relatively short, each taking around eight hours to complete. The exact timing of their removal on April 15 is uncertain; while games have historically disappeared from the catalog at midnight, they could also vanish at various times throughout the scheduled removal day.

April 2024: A Positive Month for Xbox Game Pass

Despite the substantial departure, April 2024 remains a positive month for Xbox Game Pass. The service has introduced nine new titles since the beginning of the month, with four more day-one releases on the horizon.

More additions are expected later in the month, as Microsoft is likely to unveil the second wave of April 2024 additions soon, possibly on Tuesday, April 16. During this announcement, the company is also anticipated to reveal the games leaving Xbox Game Pass at the month's end.
