World of Warcraft's Plunderstorm event is approaching its finale as Blizzard confirms that the limited-time battle royale will wrap up on Tuesday, April 30. To sweeten the deal for players, Blizzard has announced that starting from the April 16 weekly maintenance, reputation gains from participating in Plunderstorm will be doubled.

Launched with Patch 10.2.6, Plunderstorm immerses players in a 60-player PVP battle royale set in a pirate-themed environment with corresponding rewards. Taking place in Arathi Basin, combatants must scavenge and pillage their way through the map, confronting both AI enemies and rival players in a bid for supremacy. The game features items and abilities inspired by World of Warcraft's diverse classes, which can be acquired by defeating foes and looting chests, each with unique effects and strengths. Throughout the event, Blizzard has fine-tuned these elements and even held a special content creator event for Plunderstorm.

As the event draws to a close, players have a final opportunity to secure exclusive rewards. Starting April 16, alongside the weekly maintenance, players partaking in Plunderstorm will receive double reputation based on the amount of loot gathered during a match. This bonus will be active until April 30, the event's conclusion. The enhanced reputation gains apply to Solo, Duo, and Trio matches, as well as victory rewards. With 40 Renown ranks requiring 2,500 reputation points each to progress, players striving to complete their Renown track stand a better chance of acquiring sought-after items like the Plunderlord's attire and the Polly Roger mount.

When is the End Date for World of Warcraft's Plunderstorm Event?

  • Tuesday, April 30 (post server maintenance)
  • Double reputation gains effective from Tuesday, April 16

The future availability of Plunderstorm rewards in World of Warcraft remains uncertain, urging players to seize the opportunity by April 30. Leading up to the event's closure, World of Warcraft: Dragonflight Season 4 commences on Tuesday, April 23, after server maintenance. This season introduces a new dungeon reward track for Heroic and Mythic challenges, an updated Mythic+ Dungeon rotation, and periodically rotating Awakened Dragonflight raids offering improved rewards for successful completion.

While the current Plunderstorm voyage in Azeroth nears its end, Blizzard hints at a potential return of the event to World of Warcraft in the future. The community eagerly awaits what lies ahead.
