World of Warcraft has unveiled an exciting development - over 440 mounts will now take flight using Dynamic Flying in the latest expansion. The introduction of this new system promises a groundbreaking shift in the way players navigate the vast world of World of Warcraft.
The War Within, the tenth expansion of the iconic game, is currently in the works, introducing new realms to discover, treasures to acquire, and gameplay features to relish. However, one of the most anticipated features in this expansion is Dynamic Flying - a revamped version of Dragonriding that will be extended to a larger selection of mounts.
The recent revelation by World of Warcraft showcases the extensive roster of mounts that will adopt Dynamic Flying in The War Within. A preview video displayed a diverse range of over 440 mounts, spanning more than 200 variations and encompassing over 50 distinct shapes and sizes, all primed for Dynamic Flying. According to data compiled by Wowhead, there are presently 464 mounts set to embrace Dynamic Flying, with several new additions from The War Within, hinting at further expansions before release.
Dynamic Flying Unleashed in World of Warcraft: The War Within
- Over 440 existing flying mounts across 200 models and 50 different forms will transition to Dynamic Flying mounts in The War Within.
- Players will unlock Dynamic Flying at level 15, gaining additional abilities up to level 70, where all WoW: Dragonflight Dragonriding features will be automatically unlocked.
- Dynamic Flying mounts can seamlessly switch to Standard Flying in legacy zones and Khaz’Algar after exploring the new territories.
While traditional winged mounts like dragons, gryphons, wyverns, and bats were expected additions, surprises came in the form of wingless mounts such as mech suits, cloud serpents, flying horses, void worms, and even Mimiron’s Head joining the Dynamic Flying cohort. This means players can now glide through the skies on some of the rarest and most coveted rides in the World of Warcraft universe.
Adding to the excitement, the unlocking of Dynamic Flying has been expedited in The War Within. All players will gain access to Dynamic Flying at an early stage, starting at level 15, with Dracthyr enabling even quicker unlocking. As characters progress, they will automatically acquire the former Dragonriding skills without the need to gather glyphs. These enhancements, including the Dynamic Flying feature, will be introduced with the pre-patch of The War Within, giving early access to fortunate fans participating in the alpha of the World of Warcraft expansion.
