Highlights

  • Hearthstone introduces Therazane the Stonemother, a pivotal figure from World of Warcraft, as a Legendary card in the Delve into Deepholm Mini-Set.
  • Therazane, the only missing Elemental Lord, brings significant gameplay impact, even after leaving the battlefield.
  • The Delve into Deepholm Mini-Set comprises 38 new cards, including 4 Legendaries, and will be available for purchase in packs or as a complete set from the shop.

After almost a decade, Hearthstone is finally welcoming Therazane the Stonemother, a significant character from World of Warcraft and the only Elemental Lord yet to be featured as a card. Therazane takes center stage as the neutral Legendary card in the Delve into Deepholm Mini-Set, part of the Showdown in the Badlands Hearthstone expansion.

The Elemental Lords, the mightiest elementals in World of Warcraft, include Ragnaros the Firelord, Neptulon the Tidehunter, Al’akir the Windlord, and Therazane the Stonemother. While Ragnaros is the most familiar, all these figures played crucial roles in World of Warcraft: Cataclysm and beyond. In Hearthstone, Ragnaros, Neptulon, and Al’akir have appeared across multiple cards and heroes in both constructed and Battlegrounds, with Ragnaros and Al’akir being present since the game's launch. However, Therazane was conspicuously absent.

Now, Hearthstone is finally introducing the Stonemother in a significant way. Therazane is one of the four new Legendary cards in Delve into Deepholm, a 38-card Mini-Set for Showdown in the Badlands. This Neutral Elemental is a 7/5 Taunt minion costing 7 mana, and upon her demise, she doubles the stats of all Elemental minions in the player's hand and deck, leaving a lasting impact even after leaving the battlefield. Players can acquire this iconic Elemental Lord by obtaining her in packs or by purchasing the complete Mini-Set directly from the shop.

What to Expect from the Hearthstone Dive Into Deepholm

  • Set to release on January 18, with card reveals throughout the preceding week.
  • Comprises 38 new cards: 4 Legendaries (including Therazane), 1 Epic, 17 Rares, and 16 Commons.
  • Each Hearthstone class receives five new cards, with four being dual-class cards.
  • Introduces a new Excavate treasure at the Common, Rare, and Epic tiers.
  • The complete set is available for $15 or 2000 Gold, or for $70 or 10,000 Gold for the Golden version, including Diamond Deepminer Brann.

Delve into Deepholm also brings other cards that are poised to revolutionize the Hearthstone meta. Each class gains access to four new dual-class cards spanning two different class combinations. These cards blend archetypes, enhancing each class's capabilities and providing access to unique synergies and mechanics they typically lack, such as healing in Rogue. While the Hearthstone Duels mode is being phased out, players will seamlessly integrate these new cards into Standard and Wild formats.
