V Rising has hinted at an exciting collaboration with the renowned Castlevania series by Konami. This widely acclaimed vampire-themed game, which made its debut in early access in 2022, is gearing up for a full-fledged launch in the near future.

Crafted by the talented team at Stunlock Studios in Sweden, V Rising stands out from other survival games by offering players the thrilling experience of embodying powerful magic-wielding vampires. As gamers traverse the open world of this Unity engine-based title, they will confront a variety of distinctive bosses, including adversaries specifically designed to combat the undead. Soon, V Rising's roster of foes will expand to include one of the most legendary vampire hunters in gaming history, courtesy of a collaboration with Konami.

In a recent blog update, it was revealed that V Rising will be teaming up with Castlevania, the enduring media franchise revolving around the Belmont family's eternal struggle against Dracula. The forthcoming free Legacy of Castlevania content drop on May 8 will introduce Simon Belmont as a boss, along with Castlevania's iconic Vampire Killer whip and several other sacred weapons.

Simultaneously, a new paid Legacy of Castlevania Premium Pack will grant V Rising players access to a range of castle adornments, character customization choices, and a mount inspired by Konami's beloved vampire hunter series. This upcoming expansion will also include two classic Castlevania tunes remastered by V Rising composer Aleksandria Migova. Known for its exceptional castle-building features, V Rising ranks among the top titles in the genre, alongside acclaimed games like Stronghold and Going Medieval.

Simon, the protagonist of the initial two mainline Castlevania installments on Nintendo's Famicom/NES systems, is one of the most beloved members of the Belmont lineage. Renowned for his prowess with the whip, Simon is regarded as one of the most formidable Belmonts in the Castlevania series. Throughout the franchise's history, Simon and Cristopher Belmont are the only family members who have vanquished Dracula on two occasions. Defeating Simon in V Rising will unlock a new weapon and unveil fresh combat techniques for players.

The unveiling of V Rising's Legacy of Castlevania content pack on May 8 aligns with the game's full launch. Stunlock Studios has committed to incorporating official controller support into the game with the 1.0 release, a much-requested feature from the player community. Initially exclusive to PC, V Rising is set to receive a PS5 version in 2024. The full release will also introduce a plethora of new content to V Rising, including weapons, adversaries, events, and an exciting endgame zone, among other additions.
