Exploring the world of The Planet Crafter involves creating tools and gadgets like backpacks, exoskeletons, and microchips. However, when you need to break these items down into their original components, the Recycling Machine is your go-to solution. This guide aims to simplify the process of using this crucial device.
Mastering the Recycling Machine
If you're wondering how to operate the Recycling Machine in The Planet Crafter, this section will walk you through the steps. To begin, stand behind the machine and interact with the small blue box located at the back. Ensure your deconstruction tool is inactive before engaging with the machine.
The box features a single slot where you can place the item you wish to recycle. Press the red button next to the box after inserting the item. A lit indicator confirms that the machine can deconstruct the item. Once activated, the machine will display the original materials used to create the item.
Eligible items for recycling include objects like Fertilizer, Jet Packs, Backpacks, Explosive Powder, and circuit boards, excluding items from the Q menu. These can all be deconstructed in Planet Crafter.
Constructing Your Recycling Machine
The blueprint for the Recycling Machine is found on a blueprint microchip, often located north of the starting area. The recipe requires two Deconstruction Microchips and three Super Alloy chunks. Super Alloy chunks can be gathered from the rock maze north of the starting point, while Deconstruction Microchips are crafted in the basic crafting machine. Remember to supply -12.5/s energy to the Recycling Machine to keep it operational within your base.
