This online battle royale twist on the classic puzzle game is exclusive to the Nintendo Switch platform and requires an NSO subscription to play. The enduring popularity of Tetris 99 can be attributed to its recurring Maximus Cup events held every few months. These events offer players the opportunity to earn special cosmetic rewards and themed backgrounds inspired by popular Nintendo Switch titles like Super Mario RPG, Super Mario Bros.
