World of Warcraft has officially announced the return of the Taivan mount to its original size. The unexpected downsizing of this beloved character in the game left many players puzzled and dismayed, but the good news is that Taivan will be enlarged once again in Patch 10.2.7.

In a recent game update, Taivan, the endearing bakar from the Ohn’ahran Plains tale in Dragonflight, was introduced as a mount. However, without any prior notice, the developers reduced the mount's size by nearly half, disappointing fans who had acquired it.

Fortunately, World of Warcraft has clarified that the reduction in Taivan's size was only a temporary adjustment to address animation issues. The game plans to restore Taivan to its original grandeur in Patch 10.2.7, with these modifications expected to be tested on the Public Test Realm ahead of the official release.

Taivan's Reversal to Original Size in WoW Patch 10.2.7

The immense size of Taivan holds significant narrative importance. During the Taivan’s Purpose quest in the Ohn’ahran Plains within WoW: Dragonflight, the gentle giant's size plays a crucial role in its story. Despite being unsuitable for hunting or herding due to its demeanor, with the player's assistance, Taivan discovers its true calling as a rescue and therapy dog. Restoring Taivan to its initial size not only benefits those who have obtained it but also enhances its character development.

Acquiring Taivan is a challenging task. Players can secure this new mount in World of Warcraft by completing the A World Awoken meta achievement in Dragonflight. This achievement necessitates players to conquer over 100 other tasks scattered across the Dragon Isles, requiring near-completion of all expansion content to earn Taivan. Nevertheless, there is no rush to achieve this, as players can still unlock Taivan even after the release of The War Within.

The Taivan fix is just one of the highlights in Patch 10.2.7. Known as Dark Heart, this forthcoming World of Warcraft update will bring alterations to the starting zones for Void Elves and Nightborne, possibly serving as a narrative link between Dragonflight and The War Within. Moreover, World of Warcraft is hosting a special limited-time event named WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria, transporting players back to the 2012 expansion era with modern enhancements.
