An ardent group of Super Mario Maker players has managed to conquer every single level created in the game before the Wii U services are terminated. With Nintendo's primary focus on the Nintendo Switch following its launch in 2017, the company has gradually been phasing out the services for its older consoles like the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. Among the impacted games is the original Super Mario Maker, an exclusive title for the Wii U.

The initial Super Mario Maker allowed players to design their custom levels using elements and challenges from various classic and contemporary Super Mario Bros. games. These user-created levels could be shared online, offering an almost limitless array of challenges to overcome. The impending shutdown of the Wii U's online services on April 8 set a deadline for Team 0%, a dedicated fan group already committed to completing every single Super Mario Maker level. Remarkably, the team achieved their goal of clearing every level in the game with less than a month left before the shutdown.

Team 0% shared their accomplishment on their official Twitter account, updating their website with detailed statistics. The final Super Mario Maker level conquered by Team 0% was aptly named The Last Dance, completed by team member @Yamada_SMM2, a remarkable achievement accomplished 24 days ahead of the Wii U services shutdown. The team's Twitter account expressed gratitude to all supporters who cheered them on in their quest to conquer every Super Mario Maker level.

Levels Excluded from Super Mario Maker

One of the levels, Trimming the Hedges, was ineligible for inclusion in the count as it was uploaded through unauthorized means and utilized a Tool-Assisted Speedrun (TAS). Several other levels were also disqualified for being only completable using TAS and not through legitimate gameplay. The creator of the illicit Mario Maker level, Ahoyo, praised Team 0% for their years of hard work, acknowledging their well-deserved success. Team 0% urged fans not to engage in any harassment related to the illegitimate levels.

While Trimming the Hedges has been conquered via TAS, some players are still endeavoring to beat the level in a fair manner. The journey doesn't end here for Team 0%, as they now set their sights on tackling the levels in Super Mario Maker 2 on the Nintendo Switch. Fans keen on following Team 0%'s progress can stay updated through the official Discord server, which provides accurate updates and insights into the team's ongoing efforts.
