Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is gearing up to fulfill its commitment to ongoing post-launch updates. The inaugural season of the game is set to introduce a plethora of fresh content for players to enjoy, with hopes high for a turnaround in the fortunes of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

Prior to the game's release, Rocksteady had hinted at the incorporation of Elseworlds in Suicide Squad's live-service framework. These alternate dimensions are now at the forefront of the first season, featuring a new character whose storyline diverges from the Arkhamverse. Additionally, players can look forward to a range of new cosmetic items available through the season's battle pass and the two upcoming episodes.

What's Included in Season 1 of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League

The Arrival of The Joker

Leading the charge in the debut season, arriving on March 28, is the Joker as a playable character. This version of the Joker hails from an alternate dimension, distinct from the Arkhamverse iteration and reminiscent of his silver-age portrayal. With a whimsical touch, the Joker navigates with a rocket-powered umbrella, offering three unique build paths to combat the multiverse's imminent threat from one of the twelve Brainiacs.

The initial reveal of Suicide Squad's new Joker faced criticism, primarily due to the abundance of multiverse narratives and specific design and voice choices. Despite a rocky start, this iteration of the iconic character will be accompanied by incursion and stronghold events to engage players as they traverse the Mayhem map—a twisted rendition of Metropolis where players must save and recruit the Joker.

Introduction of New Armaments

The season is divided into two episodes, with the first launching on March 28 under the title 'Fear', introducing a fresh array of weapons to Suicide Squad. Players can expect Scarecrow's Infamy Set, a three-tier loadout themed around the villain's infamous fear toxin. Furthermore, players will gain access to new Notorious gear inspired by DC antagonists, such as Dr. Poison and the Mad Hatter, obtainable through open-world activities and Incursion missions, aiding in the battle against the season's new adversaries and bosses.

The subsequent episode, 'Duality', set to release mid-season, will bring its own set of Infamy Sets and Notorious weaponry. Episode 2 will feature an Infamy Set based on Two-Face, alongside Notorious gear themed around Black Manta and Reverse-Flash. This division of seasonal content deviates slightly from the conventional events found in other live-service games.

Encounter New Adversaries

Episode 1 will introduce a reimagined version of Brainiac wielding Green Lantern's powers, offering players a unique challenge. In Episode 2, Brainiac will harness Superman's abilities, adding another layer of complexity to the gameplay. Additionally, players can expect to face new 'infused' enemy variants, potentially addressing one of the key criticisms of the game—its limited enemy diversity, a factor that has hindered the full potential of Suicide Squad.
