Xbox Series X Display Settings

Xbox Series X users now have more control over graphic fidelity and performance settings, similar to PC customization options.

For optimal results, we recommend using a Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) Display at 120hz. Starfield will default to a frame rate target of 40 with full visuals on VRR displays.

  • Frame Rate Target: Choose from 30, 40, 60, or Uncapped frame rate on VRR displays. Non-VRR displays offer 30 or 60 frame rate options.
  • Prioritize: Opt for Visuals or Performance based on your preferences while maintaining the frame rate target. Performance mode adjusts resolution for smoother gameplay, while Visuals mode prioritizes high-quality graphics.
