Greedo, the beloved Rodian bounty hunter, first appeared in the original Star Wars movie. In a memorable scene at the Mos Eisley Cantina on Tatooine, Greedo encountered Han Solo, resulting in a fateful showdown. Despite his brief appearance, Greedo has garnered a significant following among fans over the years.
Given Starfield's milieu of space pirates, thieves, and bounty hunters, Greedo seamlessly integrates into the game. Modder Crozzbow has skillfully introduced the Rodian bounty hunter through a mod called 'Greedo - Star Wars Companion' on Nexus Mods. Greedo replaces the recruitable companion Lyle Brewer and can be found at Aggie's Bar in Akila City, a setting reminiscent of Mos Eisley. While not explicitly mentioned, it is likely that Greedo inherits Lyle Brewer's expertise in Xenosociology, Particle Beams, and Shotgun Certification.
Greedo's Integration into Starfield
Greedo arrives with his own voice, attire, spacesuit, and DT-12 heavy blaster pistol from the Star Wars universe. Players can even fashion and wear Greedo's clothing and spacesuit using Starfield's industrial workbenches. Crozzbow cautions players with larger characters as Greedo's attire is tailored for slim models and may cause clipping issues when worn by bulkier characters.
Although players cannot wield the DT-12, Crozzobw suggests installing the 'Arms of Mandalore' mod, which swaps some of Starfield's weapons with blasters from the Star Wars universe, including the DT-12 blaster pistol. On the Nexus Mods page, Crozzbow advises players to first install radiclown's Star Wars Aliens mod before adding the Greedo mod, as Greedo incorporates assets from radiclown's Rodian resources.
Many modders are eagerly anticipating the release of Bethesda's Creation Kit for Starfield, expected later this year. The Creation Kit will unlock additional possibilities for modders; Crozzbow envisions the potential to introduce Greedo as a distinct character without replacing Lyle Brewer. Starfield's Shattered Space DLC is also on the horizon for this year, although an exact release date is yet to be confirmed.
