Crafting Challenge Bait with Finesse

Once in possession of the Challenge Bait recipe, crafting this potent bait is a straightforward process requiring the following materials:

  • 5 Bone Fragments
  • 2 Moss

Bone Fragments are rare resources obtained from defeating Skeletons (located on Floors 71-79 of the Mines) and Lava Lurks (found in the Volcano Dungeon). These fragments can also be unearthed from Artifact Spots or acquired by breaking Bone Nodes on Ginger Island.

Conversely, Moss can be harvested from Mossy Trees scattered throughout the Valley.

Maximizing the Potential of Challenge Bait

Utilizing Challenge Bait effectively necessitates the use of advanced fishing rods, such as the Fiberglass Rod, Iridium Rod, or Advanced Iridium Rod. These rods are compatible with Challenge Bait and enable you to capitalize on its benefits.

Attaching Challenge Bait to your preferred fishing rod is a breeze; simply access your Inventory, select the bait, and attach it to the rod. Similar to Wild Bait, Challenge Bait accelerates fish biting speeds, reducing the delay by a significant 62.5%. This bait stands out as one of the premier fishing aids in the Stardew Valley universe.
