Star Wars Outlaws is set to launch on August 30 as the initial open-world Star Wars game. Positioned between Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi, the game revolves around Kay Vess as she maneuvers through galactic criminal organizations while evading the Galactic Empire to execute a monumental heist. Star Wars Outlaws showcases several well-known criminal factions in the Outer Rim that will resonate with Star Wars enthusiasts, alongside a couple of newcomers making their debut in the game.

The Zerek Besh

The Zerek Besh, led by Sliro, are poised to be the primary antagonists in Star Wars Outlaws due to Sliro's personal vendetta against Kay. Although mentioned in Crimson Reign 5, this game marks the first actual appearance and significant involvement of the Zerek Besh.

Operating from Canto Bight, the casino planet featured in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which is also Kay's homeworld, much about the Zerek Besh remains shrouded in mystery, promising revelations upon the game's release.

The Ashiga Clan

Debuting in Star Wars Outlaws, the Ashiga Clan is a secretive crime syndicate. Comprising melitto, an alien insectoid species with a hierarchical structure, the Ashiga Clan specializes in smuggling, extortion, and sabotage.

Based on Kijimi, a cold, mountainous planet, the organization's operations and background are currently veiled in secrecy, bearing resemblance to the Gand bounty hunters from Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords.

The Hutt Clans

The Hutts, notorious within the Outer Rim, dominate the sector through familial groups. Jabba the Hutt, ruling from Tatooine and featured in the game's story trailer, stands out among them. The Hutt Clans' influence stems from their hyperspace lane control, granting them authority over Outer Rim traffic.

The Pykes

Initially introduced in Star Wars: Clone Wars, the Pykes are among the galaxy's most ruthless organizations. They oversee the raw spice trade with near-total dominance, primarily operating from Oba Diah and forming alliances with other groups when required. Their spice trade business extends across the entire galaxy of Star Wars.

The Crimson Dawn

Originating in Solo: A Star Wars Story, the Crimson Dawn is a prominent organization due to its history, goals, and ties to Darth Maul. Post Darth Maul's demise in Star Wars: Rebels, Qi'ra leads the Crimson Dawn, aiming to disrupt the Empire by instigating chaos through a Syndicate war and a pursuit to capture Han Solo. While the Crimson Dawn features in Star Wars Outlaws, players should not anticipate Maul's appearance as he meets his end before Star Wars: A New Hope.
