Preparing adequately before setting sail in the treacherous waters of Skull and Bones is crucial for any aspiring pirate. Equipping oneself with superior weapons and gear can mean the difference between victory and defeat when facing challenges at sea.

Raw materials gathered from the environment or looted from enemies may not suffice for advanced upgrades. To meet the demands of crafting high-tier items, one must utilize the Refinery facility located in Sainte-Anne. Here's a comprehensive guide on how to make the most of the refining process in Skull and Bones.

Discovering the Refinery in Skull and Bones

Upon arriving at Sainte-Anne, locate the Refinery on the left side of the docks, surrounded by skilled artisans. Positioned at the northern edge of the settlement, adjacent to the Blacksmith and near the cooking area, the Refinery is easily identifiable on the map.

Interact with Vera van Wessel at the Refinery to gain insights into refining techniques. As you progress in the game, a second Refinery can be accessed in Telok Penjarah, situated in the northwestern region of the settlement.

Mastering the Refining Process in Skull and Bones

The refining procedure involves transforming all collected raw materials into advanced resources essential for crafting. Common materials like wood logs, ore, and jute can be refined into more intricate forms such as planks and ingots at the Refinery.

Assign the chosen material for refinement to a worker, keeping in mind that initially, only one worker is available. Progressing in Infamy and gaining ranks unlocks additional slots for more simultaneous refining tasks.

Displayed durations and silver costs provide transparency regarding the refining process timeline and expenses. Note that the conversion is not one-to-one, with refined materials often requiring multiple raw components. Once initiated, you are free to embark on other adventures while awaiting the completion of the refinement.
