While he has been featured in various wrestling video games like ECW Hardcore Revolution, the Legends of Wrestling series, and Backyard Wrestling: Don't Try This At Home, Sabu's sole appearance in a WWE game was in WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008.
Despite not being officially included in subsequent WWE games, enthusiasts of the classic ECW era have persistently recreated Sabu using the character creation tools in games like WWE 2K24.
Recently, a Twitter user with the handle KRadiation shared images of their personalized WWE 2K24 Sabu model, receiving praise from fellow gamers for capturing the essence of the ECW legend's appearance and flamboyant ring attire. However, Sabu himself voiced critical feedback when he saw it, advising KRadiation that their digital rendition needed improvements in physique and attire. While some defended KRadiation, others interpreted Sabu's remarks as light-hearted banter.
Sabu's Response to WWE 2K24 CAW
KRadiation took some of Sabu's feedback into consideration and later unveiled an updated version of the WWE 2K24 Sabu character with a more muscular physique and altered pants. Sabu acknowledged this revised design more positively, although he still felt the pants needed further adjustments. Regrettably, according to a response from KRadiation, WWE 2K24 lacks a suitable pants option to match Sabu's classic ECW look.
WWE 2K24's customization tools provide fans with extensive flexibility to recreate vintage wrestlers, championship belts, and even internet memes excluded from the official game. This is evident in the expansive Community Creation platform established within a week of the game's release. While many admire the intricate detail fans invest in their WWE 2K24 creations, dissenting opinions are not uncommon.
