Don't Nod has invested significant effort into Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, prioritizing an engaging storyline that keeps players entertained for hours. The game features five diverse regions for exploration, albeit initially hindered by barriers like walls and creeping ivy.

To clear these obstacles, players must acquire new Manifestations for Antea. Removing the creeping ivy, in particular, requires unlocking a special power that becomes accessible only after advancing through the main narrative.

How to Eliminate Creeping Ivy in Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

Creeping Vines cannot be removed until players obtain the Ensnare Manifestation, earned by completing story missions at Fort Jericho or the Harrows, involving challenging enemy encounters.

Players acquire Ensnare during a Shelter cutscene, empowering Antea to eradicate the creeping ivy plaguing New Eden. Ensnare's usage differs from Outburst and requires specific steps:

  • Approach a creeping ivy
  • Switch to Antea
  • Press and hold the L2/LT and aim at the center of the creeping ivy
  • Release the button to summon several Wisps
  • Quickly switch to Red's rifle and eliminate the Wisps
  • Once both Wisps are vanquished, the creeping ivy will disappear

Timing is crucial when dealing with creeping ivy; shooting the Wisps promptly after their emergence is vital. Failure requires a retry of the process.

Wisps may vary in position, demanding players to locate and destroy them efficiently. Ensnare can also immobilize enemies in combat, beneficial against larger foes, but it has a cooldown to prevent constant usage.
