Highlights

  • PS Plus Premium and Extra are unveiling a total of 14 new games today.
  • One standout addition is the unique genre hybrid game, Dave the Diver, available on day one.
  • MediEvil and two other PS1 classics are among the highlights for PS Plus Premium members.

Sony's PlayStation Plus service is growing its game collection with the introduction of 14 new titles this month. Among the fresh offerings is a game released on the very first day itself.

Typically, Sony updates its subscription library on the third Tuesday of each month. In the previous update on March 19, PS Plus Premium and Extra included 13 new games.

Today, on April 16, Sony is adding another 14 games to its on-demand library. These new games, available to both PS Plus tiers, were announced a week prior, in line with tradition. The lineup features 11 titles, with the spotlight on Dave the Diver, a unique game that combines management simulation with action-adventure elements. Developed by South Korean studio Mintrocket, this Unity engine-powered game arrives on PlayStation ten months after its debut on PC.

Latest PlayStation Plus Games in April 2024

This month's classic catalog update includes three additions. MediEvil, a beloved 1998 action-adventure, is one of the anticipated releases exclusive to PS Plus Premium members, as hinted by recent PlayStation Store trophy updates. Players with a PS Plus Premium subscription can enjoy both the original game and its 2019 remake.

Among the newly added classics is Star Wars: Rebel Assault 2: The Hidden Empire, a 1995 rail shooter from LucasArts, and Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare, the fourth installment of the survival horror series, released in 2001. The latter marks the series' debut on a Sony console and remains the most critically acclaimed PlayStation title in the franchise.

Stay tuned for the upcoming announcement on April 24, when Sony is expected to reveal the next set of free games for PS Plus members. The end of each month typically brings news of the following month's additions.
