Sony has officially unveiled the lineup of nine games set to join the Extra tier of its PlayStation Plus subscription service in January 2024. PlayStation Plus offers multiple tiers to choose from, with the Essential tier granting access to monthly free games, online multiplayer, and exclusive discounts, while the Extra tier includes all these benefits along with a selection of rotating PS4 and PS5 games.
The monthly free PS Plus games for the Essential tier are typically added at the start of each month, while Extra tier subscribers must wait until mid-month for their new games. It's important to note that all games added to PS Plus Extra are also accessible to those subscribed to the highest tier, PS Plus Premium, which includes all the Extra content as well as retro games.
The nine games joining PS Plus Extra in January 2024 are Hardspace: Shipbreaker, Just Cause 3, LEGO City Undercover, Resident Evil 2, Session: Skate Sim, Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, Surviving the Aftermath, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands: Next-Level Edition, and Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong. All nine games will be added when the PlayStation Store updates on Tuesday, January 16. Tiny Tina's Wonderlands: Next-Level Edition includes the Dragon Lord Pack Bonus Content alongside the full base game.

Macfield and the Island of Memories, Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae, Omno, Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire - Ultimate Edition, and SnowRunner.
