A devoted Pokemon fan and talented artist has reimagined pre-evolutions for the extraordinary Ultra Beasts in the Pokemon franchise. Initially introduced in Pokemon Sun and Moon, these unique creatures comprised seven Ultra Beasts in the former and an additional four in the latter, Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.

Unlike traditional Pokemon, Ultra Beasts deviate in various aspects. Most notably, the majority of them do not undergo evolution, with the exception of one. Poipole, a Poison-type Ultra Beast introduced in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, can evolve into the Poison/Dragon-type Naganadel upon reaching a certain level and knowing the move Dragon Pulse. Officially, no other Ultra Beasts have evolutions or pre-evolutions, prompting a Pokemon enthusiast to take matters into their own hands.

WhaleMan295, a Reddit user and skilled artist, took inspiration from Poipole and Naganadel to craft pre-evolutions for the remaining Ultra Beasts in the Pokemon games. The designs, encompassing Egolyp, Skitleech, Infestro, Lifewyre, Celeshootle, Folmissil, Gluteenee, Walstart, and Cejuggalon, evolve into Nihilego, Buzzwole, Pheromosa, Celesteela, Kartana, Guzzlord, Stakataka, and Blacephalon, respectively. WhaleMan295's creations were met with great enthusiasm within the Pokemon community, accumulating 4.6 thousand upvotes at the time of this report.

While Ultra Beasts held significant prominence in the Pokemon Sun and Moon games, their presence diminished in subsequent releases. Pokemon Sword and Shield introduced their own unique features, and the same trend continued with Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, which introduced Paradox Pokemon. The future may witness a resurgence of focus on Ultra Beasts in forthcoming Pokemon games, potentially introducing new additions, although this remains speculative.

Presently, the upcoming Pokemon games have not been officially announced. Following the Epilogue update for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, it is probable that Game Freak, Nintendo, and The Pokemon Company are preparing for the franchise's future. Presumably, the next generation of Pokemon games is under development and is anticipated to debut on the next Nintendo console, or perhaps on the Nintendo Switch instead.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet encountered criticism for their performance, partly attributed to the outdated hardware of the Switch. The next Nintendo console is expected to be considerably more powerful, potentially leading to technically advanced Pokemon games, although this is yet to be seen. With Pokemon Day approaching on February 27, fans of the franchise may anticipate further updates soon.
