Pokemon Sleep is expanding its collection with the addition of the thunderous Legendary Raikou. Initially met with curiosity upon its 2019 announcement, Pokemon Sleep finally clarified its concept before its release last summer. This mobile app tracks sleep patterns, enabling players to unlock diverse Pokemon simply by having their phones nearby during their slumber.

Despite initial apprehensions about sleep data tracking and phone safety, Pokemon Sleep has garnered a fair reception post-launch. Developer Select Button continues to enhance the game with new features and unlockable Pokemon, including hosting a special Halloween event last October featuring nap-worthy creatures like Dratini, Gardevoir, and Stufful at Lapis Lakeside.

The latest update from a Pokemon Presents livestream unveils a Legendary addition to Pokemon Sleep. In a delightful trailer, the Thunder Pokemon Raikou is showcased running through a stormy field before settling in a player's bedroom. Raikou will fall under the Snoozing category, obtainable through sufficient sleep. Raikou is scheduled to join Pokemon Sleep in March, with Entei and Suicune following suit at a later date.

Upcoming Legendary Pokemon in Pokemon Sleep

  • Raikou (March 2024)
  • Entei (TBA)
  • Suicune (TBA)

Raikou, Entei, and Suicune form a trio of Legendary Pokemon introduced in Pokemon Gold and Silver, succeeding Gen 1’s Legendary Bird trio. Popular among fans, Entei and Suicune played significant roles in earlier Pokemon animated films. Recently, these three gained Paradox forms in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, unveiling their prehistoric ancestors.

These Legendary beasts are now set to find rest in Pokemon Sleep, commencing with Electric-type Raikou in March. Entei and Suicune are expected to follow suit later in 2024, inviting fans to witness the mythical Aurora and Volcano Pokemon in their bedtime adventures within Pokemon Sleep.
