An avid Pokemon GO player recently made a surprising discovery after snagging a Galarian Zapdos, only to find out it was a nundo variant. With a vast array of over 800 Pokemon to encounter in Pokemon GO, some elusive species are highly sought after by players, leading to memorable and sometimes unconventional encounters.
Among the elusive creatures are Galarian Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres, considered some of the most coveted Pokemon in Pokemon GO. These Galarian Birds are not only legendary but also exceptionally rare and challenging to capture. Spotting a Galarian Bird typically requires using Pokemon GO's Daily Adventure Incense. However, successfully capturing one poses another hurdle, as these birds have a high flee rate. Despite the difficulty, one Pokemon GO trainer defied the odds with a remarkable encounter.
Reddit user Toast2Toasty's catch of a Galarian Zapdos took an unexpected turn when they realized the Pokemon was a nundo. The player shared an image of the unique Galarian Bird they managed to capture after it broke free from the Poke Ball thrice. Unlike the traditional yellow-plumed Zapdos from Kanto, the Galarian Zapdos sports a striking red-orange plumage, featuring elongated and more muscular legs alongside its familiar pointed feathers.
