Pokemon GO has unveiled an exciting new event centered around the Fairy-type Pokemon Cleffa. In Pokemon GO, players engage in various activities to expand their Pokemon collections, one of which involves hatching eggs. These eggs can be obtained from PokeStops and Gyms, and by walking the required distance, players receive a random Pokemon.

Pokemon GO features five types of eggs, with the 2 KM eggs being the most common and the 12 KM eggs being the rarest. Each egg type has a specific pool of Pokemon that can hatch from it, although this pool changes as Pokemon GO introduces new Pokemon or special events. Some Pokemon can only be obtained through hatching eggs, including the adorable baby Pokemon. To assist players in expanding their collections, Niantic has announced a new event focused on one of these charming creatures.

The upcoming Cleffa Hatch Day event in Pokemon GO is scheduled for April 28, running from 2 pm to 5 pm local time. During this event, players will have a higher chance of hatching Cleffa from 2 KM eggs, with the added possibility of encountering a shiny Cleffa. Participants in Cleffa Hatch Day will benefit from double Candy rewards upon hatching eggs, increased odds of obtaining a shiny Cleffa, and a higher drop rate of 2 KM eggs from spinning PokeStops.

New Cleffa Hatch Day Event Details

  • Event Date: Sunday, April 28, from 2 pm to 5 pm local time

Throughout the Cleffa Hatch Day event, players can access complimentary Timed Research tasks offering XP and a Super Incubator as rewards. For a small fee of $1, trainers can opt for Paid Research that grants double Stardust upon egg hatching, a Star Piece, a Super Incubator, and additional XP. Between April 26 and 28, from 10 am to 5 pm, players will only need to cover half the usual distance to hatch eggs. Moreover, a new event-themed Field Research will be introduced, and two exclusive bundles will be available for purchase, one on the Pokemon GO Web Store and the other within the in-game shop of Pokemon GO.

Although Cleffa is not among the rarest Pokemon in Pokemon GO, sightings of this Pokemon are relatively uncommon. Prior to the upcoming Hatch Day event, Cleffa made an appearance during Pokemon GO's New Year's event, where Niantic increased the chances of hatching Pokemon from 7 KM eggs. Cleffa Hatch Day presents a great opportunity for players to stock up on Candy, a vital resource for enhancing the strength of their Pokemon.
