Honoring Earth Day on April 22, a Pokemon enthusiast artist has re-envisioned Numel and Camerupt, two Fire-type Pokemon, as regional Grass-types in line with the occasion. Sharing their artwork with the Pokemon community, the artist received acclaim for transforming the fiery creatures into representations of dormant volcanoes reclaimed by nature.

Known as the Numb Pokemon and the Volcano Pokemon, Numel and Camerupt made their debut in Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire. Numel, a dual Fire and Ground type, inhabits the Fiery Path and the Jagged Pass. Evolving into Camerupt at level 33, it acquires Magma Armor and Solid Rock abilities to enhance its defensive capabilities. Camerupt, the signature Pokemon of Team Magma's leader, Maxie, underwent a Mega Evolution in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, gaining the Sheer Force ability and becoming a formidable adversary for Grass, Electric, and Steel Pokemon.

Numel's appearance was revamped with a darker, earthy brown hue, adorned with leaves on its head and hump, while its eyes transitioned to a verdant green shade to complement the hump's color. The shiny version sported a bluish tint for added allure. Camerupt's form was cloaked in grass-like fur, with the blue markings substituted by yellow flowers, and the volcanic humps transformed into fractured flower pots. Poetically_Imperfect's Shiny Camerupt boasted a deeper green tone with pink floral accents.
