Palworld has rolled out the 0.2.1.0 update for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, addressing critical issues, notably a game-breaking bug introduced in the prior patch.
Initially released on April 9 as version 0.2.0.6, the problematic update led to multiplayer save loading problems for players. Following fan complaints on social media, Pocketpair advised against loading multiplayer data until a solution was found, expressing regret for the inconvenience.
Xbox Multiplayer Functionality Restored
The latest 0.2.1.0 patch, released on April 11, fixes the multiplayer bug on Xbox consoles, albeit temporarily disabling chat to address an underlying issue. Pocketpair identified a chat bug affecting save data loading and chose to deactivate chat as a quick fix while working on a permanent solution.
Reports suggest most players can now recover their old multiplayer data. However, it remains uncertain if those who created new characters during the issue can revert to their original saves. Additionally, the patch resolves sporadic issues preventing achievements linked to Palworld's first raid boss.
Furthermore, the update addresses a bug that hindered incubators from accepting eggs, previously resolved by rebuilding them. Notably, this bug persists in the Steam version due to Xbox's priority for critical updates.
The April 11 update also boosts loading times for Xbox Series X and Series S and introduces new features like credits and bug reports accessible from the main menu. Pocketpair teased a major summer update introducing a new island to the popular crafting RPG.
