Palia immerses players in a free MMO life simulation, blending adventure and farming in a vibrant world. As an MMO, players are assigned to a server upon logging in, with each server accommodating up to 25 players and offering the flexibility to switch servers at will.

There are various reasons why players may opt to switch servers, ranging from technical issues like lag to seeking a livelier community or avoiding unwanted interactions. Regardless of the motive, Palia provides players the freedom to transition between servers effortlessly. Here's a guide on how to navigate server changes in Palia.

How to Switch Servers in Palia

While players cannot manually pick a specific server, they can conveniently switch servers organized by region. The region information is accessible from the pause menu located in the top left corner of the screen. One method to switch servers is by reloading the game, as players are assigned a random server each time they enter Palia.

Another approach is returning to the Housing Plot, visible on the map, which allows swift travel. Moving in and out of the Housing Plot triggers a switch to a different server. Similarly, transitioning between maps and regions, such as from Kilima to Bahari, produces the same outcome.

Players can also synchronize servers with friends by accessing the friends list through the "O" key. Invitations can be sent between players to automatically join the same server. Alternatively, visiting a friend's Housing Plot while they are online ensures alignment on the same server. Forming a party with friends guarantees cohesiveness on the same server upon login.

Although changing servers minimally impacts gameplay, it can significantly influence the community dynamics within Palia. Players can regulate privacy and chat settings to address any interpersonal issues and maintain server preferences.
