Unraveling the First Rootseeker Medallion

Before embarking on the quest for Rootseeker Medallions, you must conquer the challenges of the Vault of Waves, Vault of Flames, and Vault of Gales. This achievement will prompt Einar to send a letter requesting your presence. This initiates the Vault of Roots quests. Complete the three overseer station quests and enter the Temple of the Roots to unlock the vault and begin the search for medallions.

Journey to the Night Sky Temple in Kilima, situated on the western edge of the map between the Daiya Family Farm and Mirror Fields. Inside, Einar, Hekla, and Jina will greet you. Experience a brief animation introducing the four vaults and a radiant scepter at the room's center, whose purpose remains a mystery. Interact with the luminous stone device on the far right to access the bundles. Einar will entrust you with the first Rootseeker Medallion to kickstart your endeavor of completing the Rootseeker's Bundle.

Quest for Rootseeker Medallions

Upon receiving the initial Rootseeker Medallion from Einar, begin your search for the remaining five in Bahari Bay. Ensure ample inventory space and a glider for swift map traversal. Opt for fast travel by accessing the map and selecting stables across the region. Follow these directions to pinpoint the five medallions concealed within the treasure chests.

Location 1

Inside the Pavel Mines, adjacent to the pond teeming with rare and epic fish, lies a medallion. Descend to the rocks on the pond's left side, pass under the bridge, and unveil the treasure chest. Beware, your character may face drowning, resulting in a reset to the rocks.

Location 2

Progress from Pavel Mines, navigate through tunnels to reach the Flooded Fortress for the subsequent treasure chest atop a pillar. Proceed left from the mines, ascend the vines to access the chest mid-air, or reach the pillar's pinnacle.

Location 3

Near Thorny Thicket, embark from Tamala's house towards the east. A cave beneath the Thorny Thicket label on the map conceals the treasure chest harboring the Rootseeker Medallion.

Location 4

Along Bahari Bay's eastern coast, discover a treasure chest concealed behind a sizable rubble piece. Access this covert spot by approaching from the north or traversing the Ancient Aqueduct.

Location 5

The final Rootseeker Medallion awaits near The Old Lighthouse. From Lighthouse Lagoon, ascend the cliffside to locate the treasure chest beneath the wooden staircase north of the lighthouse.

Redeeming Rootseeker Medallions

Upon securing the Rootseeker Medallions, contribute them towards completing the Rootseeker's Bundle within the Vault of Roots. Return to the Night Sky Temple in Kilima and interact with the Rootseeker stone device on the right to finalize the bundle by submitting all six medallions.

Accomplishing this task rewards your character with an Emberborn Reed Planter, a decorative item for your dwelling. For completing all four bundles in the Vault of Roots (bugs, food, fish, and collectibles), you will attain the rare Ancient Galdur Statue as a token of your achievement.
