The initial encounter with Tartarus in P3 occurs on April 4 during the Dark Hour, a nightly phenomenon at midnight. Before ascending the stairs, players can engage with the clock at the Entrance of Tartarus, utilizing it to heal their party. However, this feature becomes accessible only later in the game. Attempting to interact with it on 4/20 prompts the character to acknowledge that the clock is non-functional.

Upon reaching the first Border Floor, floor 22 in Tartarus, progression halts temporarily, awaiting the opening of the path. Subsequently, access to the special clock on the bottom floor becomes available.

Function of the Clock in Persona 3 Reload

By bestowing the Twilight Fragments upon the clock, the entire party's HP and SP are restored. While not the most efficient method of party healing, it offers an alternative to depleting SP or using healing items.

Acquiring Twilight Fragments

The first Twilight Fragment is obtained as part of the main storyline, discovered as a luminous blue object on the character's bed. Additional Twilight Fragments are scattered throughout the overworld, including the school and public areas. Players need to be vigilant for radiant blue spots on the ground, interacting with them to collect the fragments.

Twilight Fragments also unlock special chests in Tartarus, prompting players to decide between utilizing the fragments for party recovery or obtaining unique rewards within the dungeon.
