Overwatch 2 has unveiled major enhancements for tank heroes, including targeted improvements to Wrecking Ball and Junker Queen, set to debut in the upcoming mid-Season 10 patch. These hero adjustments and more are scheduled to roll out with the Overwatch 2 Season 10 interim update expected on May 14.

The Season 10 update on April 16 introduced Venture as the first new DPS hero in Overwatch 2 since its launch, revamped the process for unlocking Mythic skins, and implemented balance tweaks for various characters. Notably, Wrecking Ball underwent significant changes, receiving a minor rework to enhance his effectiveness as a solo tank within the Overwatch 2 Season 10 meta.

In the upcoming update, Overwatch 2 is empowering Wrecking Ball and all other tank heroes with increased resilience. As per a recent statement from an Overwatch 2 Director, tanks will now sustain 25% less damage from headshots and enjoy a boost in knockback resistance to 50%, up from the previous 30%. Globally, armor mechanics are reverting to better counter low projectile damage, while the HP recovery passive is being revamped to restore 10 Health plus 5% of the hero's maximum health per second, significantly enhancing the self-healing capabilities of high-health tanks like Reinhardt and Mauga. Additionally, Junker Queen's Commanding Shout is receiving a buff, alongside improvements to Wrecking Ball's impact damage, Piledriver, and Minefield abilities.

Regrettably, fans of Orisa are still grappling with the repercussions of recent substantial nerfs in Overwatch 2. However, being a high-armor hero, Orisa stands to benefit from these buffs, enhancing her survivability and potentially offsetting the impact of the recent nerfs to some extent.
