Overwatch 2 has revealed the remixed abilities of 12 heroes for its latest limited-time Mirrorwatch mode. Season 10 of Overwatch 2 has kicked off with the introduction of Venture, the first new DPS hero since Sojourn. Venture, an excavator wielding a drill, can burrow underground and ambush opponents for significant damage. This season also sees all previous mythic hero skins available in the in-game shop and offers players the chance to explore the new Clash game mode on the dedicated Hanaoka map.

With Mirrorwatch as the central theme of Season 10, Overwatch 2 has rearranged the alignments of some fan-favorite heroes. Players can earn Overwatch agent skins for villains like Doomfist, Sombra, and Widowmaker, as well as Talon skins for Tracer, Sojourn, Reinhardt, and Ana through the battle pass. The Mirrorwatch limited-time Arcade mode mixes up the abilities of several Overwatch 2 heroes, introducing new voice lines, ability visuals, and incorporating Control, Escort, and Hybrid game modes. Even the Overwatch outpost Watchpoint Gibraltar undergoes a transformation into a Talon base within Mirrorwatch.

Following the launch of Mirrorwatch, Overwatch 2 has disclosed all the altered hero abilities available for players to utilize in the mode. The roster of 12 heroes includes Doomfist, Reinhardt, Zarya, Bastion, Echo, Sombra, Tracer, Widowmaker, Ana, Brigitte, Mercy, and Zenyatta. Notable changes involve Reinhardt's barrier turning into Baptiste's amplification matrix, Zenyatta's ultimate causing disruption to enemies instead of healing allies, and Mercy's ultimate enabling her to shoot explosive projectiles from her staff. Additionally, Sombra can now enhance teammates' damage by hacking them, akin to Mercy's damage boost ability, instead of hacking opponents.

Heroes Available in Mirrorwatch

  • Ana
  • Bastion
  • Brigitte
  • Doomfist
  • Echo
  • Mercy
  • Reinhardt
  • Sombra
  • Tracer
  • Widowmaker
  • Zarya
  • Zenyatta

Apart from the revamped abilities, such as Brigitte's Whip Shot pulling targets towards her similar to Roadhog or Ana's Hanzo-like double jump, the Overwatch 2 team has introduced new ability assets like a deployable waist-high barrier for Widowmaker and Reinhardt's amplification barrier. The potential integration of these abilities with future heroes remains intriguing, considering Mirrorwatch and the recent April Fools patch, which was live earlier this month, serve as excellent testing grounds for developers and fans to experiment with new abilities.

Although Mirrorwatch is scheduled to conclude on May 14, its innovative concept might pave the way for a potential return to the Arcade in the future. The mode's success during its brief presence in Season 10 will determine its future availability. With the addition of the new DPS hero Venture, the Clash mode, and the recent introduction of Mirrorwatch, Overwatch 2's tenth season promises an enjoyable experience for players.
