Exciting News for Gamers: Major Activision Titles Added to Nvidia GeForce NOW

Highlights

  • GeForce NOW integrated Battle.net on February 29.
  • Newly supported games include Diablo 4, Hearthstone, Overwatch 2, and recent Call of Duty titles.
  • Nvidia plans to introduce over 22 additional games to its streaming platform in March.

The Nvidia GeForce Now service now offers a selection of top-tier games from Activision Blizzard, such as Diablo 4 and various recent Call of Duty releases. This is just the beginning of what GeForce NOW has in store for gamers, with nearly two dozen new titles set to arrive in March 2024.

In a bid to finalize the Activision Blizzard acquisition, Microsoft inked licensing deals with several streaming services throughout 2023. These agreements aimed to assure regulators that Microsoft wouldn't monopolize the cloud gaming market by withholding titles like Call of Duty from competitors such as Xbox Cloud Gaming. Nvidia was one of these partners and even supported Microsoft during the acquisition process.

Less than a year later, users are reaping the benefits of this collaboration. A recent update on February 29 brought Battle.net titles to GeForce NOW. The initial batch includes games like Diablo 4, Hearthstone, Overwatch 2, and the Call of Duty HQ app, allowing players to stream titles like Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone.

Exciting Lineup for Late February and March 2024 on GeForce NOW

Microsoft is making good on its promise to bring Call of Duty games to GeForce NOW. The company pledged a ten-year commitment to keep the popular franchise available on Nvidia's platform. With the addition of Battle.net support, GeForce NOW now supports six platforms, including Steam, GOG, and Ubisoft Connect. While more Battle.net titles have not been confirmed yet, Nvidia's history of integrating new stores hints at possible expansions.

GeForce NOW Boosts Battle.net's Future

This move indicates that Battle.net is likely here to stay. Speculations arose that Microsoft might phase out Battle.net after acquiring Activision Blizzard in October 2023. However, Nvidia's efforts to incorporate Battle.net suggest otherwise, hinting that Microsoft may have assured its continuity for the time being.

The recent GeForce NOW update also brought support for games like Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster, the Xbox Game Pass edition of Space Engineers, Fort Solis, and Welcome to ParadiZe. Additionally, Nvidia is set to introduce at least 22 more games to its platform throughout March.
