A recent update to the Nintendo Switch Online subscription service has brought a beloved classic to the platform - the iconic Game Boy Advance title F-Zero: Maximum Velocity. This subscription service grants users access to an array of timeless Nintendo games spanning various console eras. While some games are accessible to all subscribers, certain titles are exclusive to the Expansion Pack tier.

The standard Nintendo Switch Online subscription, priced at around $20 annually, provides gamers with a library of NES, SNES, Game Boy, and Game Boy Color games. Opting for the $50 per year Expansion Pack unlocks the entire spectrum of titles, including Nintendo 64, Sega Genesis, and Game Boy Advance games. As of now, North American subscribers can enjoy 15 Game Boy Advance games, while players in Japan and Hong Kong are treated to additional titles like Mother 3 and Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade.

The 15th addition to the Game Boy Advance lineup on Nintendo Switch Online is now live, featuring the thrilling F-Zero: Maximum Velocity. This acclaimed racing game, originally released in 2001, offers players a Grand Prix mode, a Championship mode akin to Time Attack, and multiplayer functionalities.

While Nintendo had previously revealed upcoming titles for Nintendo 64, Game Boy Advance, and Sega Genesis on Switch Online, the current silence on new Expansion Pack titles has sparked anticipation among subscribers. The absence of announcements leaves room for speculation on what surprises Nintendo may unveil in the months ahead.

The Nintendo Switch Online catalog spans a vast array of Nintendo's past consoles, including a recent addition of Xbox-owned games in February. The service continues to evolve, with recent releases including a trio of Mario games and the much-anticipated debut of F-Zero: Maximum Velocity in March.
