Nintendo and LEGO have joined forces to create an exciting new brick set inspired by the Mario Kart series. The upcoming set was teased during LEGO's recent Mario Day event.
While Nintendo once produced its own building blocks in the '60s, the company now happily collaborates with LEGO. This partnership has resulted in a range of products, including the popular LEGO Animal Crossing set.
Anticipated Arrival of LEGO Super Mario Kart Set in 2025
Continuing their collaboration, Nintendo and the Danish toy giant have officially announced a LEGO Super Mario Kart set. Building on the teaser shared during Mario Day 2024, the companies disclosed that a brick set based on the Mario Kart franchise will be released next year. Although the product was not revealed in full, a sneak peek of a partially hidden brick kart racer was provided.
The Super Mario character showcased in the teaser is part of existing LEGO sets and is likely to feature in this upcoming release. The scheduled 2025 launch aligns with the fifth anniversary of the LEGO Super Mario series. It remains to be seen if the new set will be fully unveiled or launched on Mario Day 2025. Traditionally, new LEGO Super Mario sets are often revealed in late summer or early fall, with the theme's fifth anniversary falling in August 2025.
During LEGO's early Mario Day 2024 event, a preview of three other Super Mario sets was provided: Battle with Roy at Peach’s Castle, Bowser Express Train, and King Boo’s Haunted Mansion. While no release dates or prices were disclosed, estimated pricing can be gauged based on the number of bricks in these sets. Comparable LEGO Super Mario products typically range from $75 to $150, depending on the theme and age rating.
