Following a lukewarm reception in 2021, the success of the original Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl paved the way for its sequel, which hit the shelves in late 2021. The sequel raised the bar by incorporating 11 new characters from popular shows aired on the cherished children's cable network.
Among these additions are characters from Avatar: The Last Airbender, a franchise that has been gaining prominence due to recent adaptations like the Netflix series and various Avatar video games. The first Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl allowed players to embody main characters like Aang, the resilient Earthbender Toph, and Korra from the sequel series, The Legend of Korra. The sequel retained Aang and Korra while introducing the devious Princess Azula.
The latest update for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 brings Zuko, Azula's brother, into the mix through the newly released Update 1.8 patch, now ready for download. Zuko is part of the Season Pass for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, which plans to include four new DLC characters. In Avatar: The Last Airbender, Zuko, initially seeking his father's approval, eventually renounced his tyrannical father and joined forces with Aang to combat the Fire Lord's oppression.
Besides the introduction of Zuko, the update also implements adjustments to the existing character roster in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2. These tweaks extend to previously added DLC character Mr. Krabs from SpongeBob SquarePants, now equipped with Invincibility for all Throw attack states and enhanced Knockback gain for Charge Down. Other characters like Ren and Stimpy, Nigel from The Wild Thornberrys, and Korra receive minor tweaks, ensuring a balanced gameplay experience for all players.
While the tweaks are beneficial, the highlight of the update undoubtedly lies in playing as Zuko, whose fiery attacks and combat skills add a new layer of excitement to the arena. Zuko marks the beginning of more Avatar: The Last Airbender characters to join the Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl universe, with Iroh, Zuko's wise uncle, set to follow.
