The latest update, Hotfix 0.179.1, has been rolled out for Palia, offering solutions to various game crashes and freezes. This comes on the heels of a recent patch that brought in new features, content, and overall gameplay enhancements.

Palia is a community simulation game powered by Unreal Engine, set in a unique high fantasy realm, developed and published by Singularity 6, an LA-based studio. Despite still being in open beta, the game made its way to the Switch in December and later landed on Steam in late March. Following its availability on Valve's platform, Palia has seen numerous updates, with the latest one tackling several issues.

The 0.179.1 Hotfix for Palia was released on April 29, fixing bugs that caused crashes during activities like fishing, crafting, and visiting the Temple of the Waves in Phoenix Falls. Additionally, this update resolved freezing problems encountered when trying to build relationships with villagers by re-gifting. Strengthening bonds through gift-giving is a crucial element of the game's social dynamics.

Singularity 6's recent update followed closely on the heels of Patch 0.179 for Palia. Apart from enhancing the game's performance, the previous update, launched on April 23, brought a host of new content. It introduced features like Courtyard building, fresh flower species, Cyl the Green Plush, the Ammo Pouch item, over 50 achievements for the Steam version, and three new outfit bundles in the Premium Store.

Patch 0.179 also included Level 5 Quests for NPCs Zeki, Ashura, Tish, and Reth. Among them, Ashura, the innkeeper, offers new tools and construction upgrades, while befriending Tish unlocks new furniture and decorations. Bonding with Reth rewards players with food recipes and cooking appliances.

Players have been vocal about desiring more content in Palia, such as new locations and creatures. Currently, the game features two primary areas, Kilima Valley and Bahari Bay, and is home to nine creature types. The most recent addition, Mujin, a wolf-like creature, joined the game in the 0.173 Build last November.
