343 Industries recently unveiled the upcoming features in Halo Infinite's next Content Update, known as Banished Honor. This update includes a novel Shop section that utilizes a currency earned for free, an additional Operation Pass, enhancements to Forge, and more. Fans can expect this Halo Infinite update to go live on April 30.

The previous major update for Halo Infinite arrived in early April, introducing The Yappening 2 event, featuring an Operation Pass and new Firefight variants focusing on hordes of grunts. Additionally, the update brought the new 4v4 map Corrosion and the 4v4 map Interference, a remake of Halo 5's popular The Rig map, to Ranked playlists. As fans eagerly anticipate the April 30 update, 343 has shared some insights on what's to come.

The next Content Update for Halo Infinite will introduce the Exchange section in the Shop, offering a selection of items purchasable with Spartan Points. These points can be earned through daily challenges, weekly challenges, and Operation Passes. The Exchange will feature both returning and new items, with the selection changing every four to six weeks. Additionally, the Banished Honor Operation Pass, consisting of 20 tiers of rewards, will be available for free. In terms of Forge, the upcoming Content Update will bring the Flood and Alien Forge palettes, more mode variants, and enhanced scripting options.

Exciting Features Coming in Halo Infinite's Next Content Update

  • The Exchange
  • Banished Honor Operation Pass
  • Return of the Plasma Pistol's EMP effect
  • Introduction of Flood and Alien Forge Palettes, among other Forge enhancements
  • BTB Heavies map refresh on May 7, one week post-update launch

The forthcoming Content Update may elevate the status of the Plasma Pistol in Halo Infinite's weapon hierarchy, as its EMP effect makes a comeback, allowing players to disable vehicles with an overcharged shot. Additional improvements on April 30 include minor quality-of-life updates, stability enhancements, and networking adjustments.

Looking ahead, the BTB Heavies playlist will receive new Forge-made maps a week after the Banished Honor update, likely on May 7. While the lack of new weapons, vehicles, or developer-made maps in Banished Honor may disappoint some, the Forge upgrades in the update will empower the Halo community to craft more intricate maps, while the Exchange will offer free-to-play users a broader range of cosmetic choices.

This announcement of the upcoming Content Update arrives as Halo Infinite's Forge creators continue to impress with their creations, spanning detailed recreations of classic Halo levels to ambitious projects like the Forge Falcons' battle royale and Helldivers 2 modes.
