Evidence has emerged indicating that Ubisoft may be developing a new Far Cry spin-off, potentially the most derivative one to date, based on the animated series Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix. The game, tentatively titled Captain Laserhawk Niji Warrior, would mark the series' first spin-off since Far Cry VR: Dive Into Insanity, developed by Zero Latency and released in June 2021.

Created by Adi Shankar, the acclaimed Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix anime draws inspiration from Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. Shankar, known for his involvement in the Castlevania: Nocturne series, serves as an executive producer for the series, which debuted on Netflix in mid-October 2023 to positive reviews. However, there has been no indication from Ubisoft or Netflix regarding plans to expand the IP beyond the initial six-episode run of the anime.

However, the Pan-European Game Information (PEGI) database has recently added a rating for Captain Laserhawk Niji Warrior. The listing describes the unannounced Far Cry spin-off as a multiplayer game centered on a
