Highlights

  • Peacemaker DLC now accessible in Early Access for Mortal Kombat 1 players.
  • Patch notes cover changes like PC storage requirements, bug fixes, crossplay support, and enhanced rewards in Invasions mode.
  • Practice Mode enhancements allow customization of character-specific mechanics for the upcoming Kameo Fighter Janet Cage.

NetherRelam recently dropped the patch notes for the fresh Peacemaker update, now open in Early Access for those with the game’s Premium Edition. Once a lesser-known DC Comics antihero, Peacemaker (real name Christopher Smith) has gained popularity in recent years due to John Cena's portrayal in DC Extended Universe projects like The Suicide Squad and the Peacemaker series on Max. This led to Peacemaker's inclusion as a DLC guest fighter in Mortal Kombat 1, joining the previously released Omni-Man and the upcoming Homelander.

Enthusiasts finally witnessed Peacemaker's gameplay in Mortal Kombat 1 through a character trailer this month, showcasing the peace-obsessed vigilante's moves, Fatal Blow, and his MK 1 Fatality where he disintegrates foes with a sonic blast from his helmet. Voiced by John Cena, players can enjoy authentic taunts and attacks reminiscent of Cena's on-screen persona.

Besides Peacemaker, NetherRelam unveiled extensive patch notes detailing improvements accompanying his Early Access debut. PC space requirements on Steam and Epic Games Store have been upped to accommodate future content. The update addresses bugs, tweaks existing characters, and introduces various enhancements.

Additional changes in this Mortal Kombat 1 update feature the ability to link a game profile to a WB Friends Account manually, crossplay support, and adjustments to Invasions mode. Players can now enjoy new HUD indicators, increased XP rewards, and improved in-game social features.

Moreover, the Practice Mode now enables players to fine-tune character-specific mechanics for fighters and Kameos. Support for the upcoming Kameo Fighter Janet Cage has been added before her debut in March. Players with the Premium Edition can access Peacemaker now, while others await his full release on March 7.
