Activision recently announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will kick off its next free trial on April 4, granting new players access to a range of exciting maps and game modes. This news coincides with the upcoming launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's Season 3 update, set to debut on April 3, just ahead of the trial period.

The forthcoming major update for Modern Warfare 3 introduces six new maps to the game's standard 6v6 format, with two maps being held back for a later release in the season. Alongside these additions, classic modes like Capture the Flag and One in the Chamber are making a return, complemented by fresh modes such as Minefield, additional weapons, events, and more. Those eager to experience Modern Warfare 3 and its latest features can do so without the usual $70 price tag, thanks to an upcoming promotional offer.

Between April 4 and April 8, players across all supported platforms can enjoy the Multiplayer and Zombies modes of Modern Warfare 3 for free. While Zombies mode seems to be fully accessible during the trial, some restrictions may apply to the Multiplayer mode, similar to previous trial runs. The trial version of Modern Warfare 3 includes six 6v6 maps, such as Das Haus, Stash House, Rust, and the new Emergency map from Season 3, playable across five modes, including the classic Capture the Flag.

Furthermore, participants in the trial will get to experience Modern Warfare 3's Hordepoint mode, a blend of standard Multiplayer and Zombies gameplay. In Hordepoint, two teams of six compete for control over rotating hills, akin to the Hardpoint mode, with the added twist of zombies spawning when a hill is contested. These zombies pose a threat to both teams and must be dealt with or evaded. Hordepoint features its unique maps, which are variations of standard Multiplayer maps like Tetanus in Rust, Skidgrow in Skidrow, and Satan's Quarry in Quarry.

Season 3 signifies a significant content update for Call of Duty, offering a wealth of new features and enhancements. The upcoming April 4 to 8 period presents an attractive opportunity for new players to dive into the high-octane action of Modern Warfare 3, especially if Activision introduces a game sale alongside the trial.

Not to be left out, Warzone is also receiving substantial content in Season 3. With the launch of the update on April 3, players can explore a revamped version of Rebirth Island featuring aquatic elements, redesigned points of interest, and intriguing additions like Smart Displays.
