The most recent update, Game Update 6 for MLB The Show 24, has just been launched, introducing new content and fixing bugs in the popular baseball game. Unlike previous patches, this update does not include any changes to the gameplay itself.

After the initial release of MLB The Show 24 on March 19, players encountered various technical issues, such as freezes and server problems. In response, San Diego Studio, the developer, has rolled out multiple patches to address these issues. This latest update for MLB The Show 24 adds new content and tackles several game bugs.

The patch notes for Game Update 6 highlight the addition of the City Connect uniform for the New York Mets, a team known for its strong starting pitchers in MLB The Show 24. The update on April 23 also fixed critical issues, including a crash triggered when selecting a team in the Daily Lineups on Jackie Robinson Day and an error that caused player names to appear incorrectly on jerseys.

Similar to the previous patch, Game Update 5 of MLB The Show 24 focused on presentation adjustments. The tweak was made to address player feedback indicating Waldron's pitching was overly challenging, so the studio increased the velocity of his knuckleball and slightly reduced its break to make it more manageable for batters.

The Game Update 6 version of MLB The Show 24 is labeled as version 1.06 for the Sony PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, 1.006 for the PlayStation 5, and 1.0.0.73 for Microsoft's Xbox One and Series consoles. Given that the MLB: The Show series has been exclusive to consoles, a PC release for the latest installment is highly improbable.
