  • Unlock new features and extensions for increased town prosperity

In the world of city-building games like Manor Lords, constructing houses is crucial for town growth. Without homes, a town remains incomplete. The key to expanding your town's population and wealth lies in upgrading Burgage Plots, a pivotal feature in Manor Lords.

Burgage Plots are versatile pieces of land where you can build houses, gardens, and workshops. To maximize their potential, upgrading them is essential. Let's delve into the process of upgrading Burgage Plots effectively.

Unveiling the Purpose of Burgage Plots in Manor Lords

Burgage Plots play a dual role by providing housing for your residents and serving as spaces for various workshops that benefit the town. Constructing houses on these plots caters to the housing needs, while upgrading them unlocks new possibilities.

To begin, select a flexible plot and outline its dimensions using the hammer tool. The plot can take any shape as long as it has four corners. Adjust the number of Burgage Plots within the flexible area using the Plus and Minus buttons.

A standard Burgage Plot accommodates a small house, with room for an additional small unit if space permits. Expanding the plot backward creates an extension slot, where you can add amenities like a vegetable garden or workshops.

After setting up a Burgage Plot, the next step is upgrading it since the basic version lacks functionality. The extension slot offers three choices: a chicken coop, a goat shed, or a vegetable garden.

Elevating Your Burgage Plot to Level 2

Advancing a plot to Level 2 involves meeting specific criteria:

  • Ensure Water Access
  • Have Church at Level 1
  • Maintain Fuel Stall Supply
  • Sustain Food Stall Supply 2
  • Secure Clothing Stall Supply
  • Acquire 4 Timber for the Upgrade

Upgrading to Level 2 demands effort to gather essential resources. Here's a breakdown of what you need to focus on:

  • Water Access: Erect a well to fulfill this requirement.
  • Church: Establish a Level 1 church.
  • Fuel Stall Supply: Set up a woodcutter’s lodge.
  • Food Stall Supply: Ensure a stable food source by setting up a farm and a Hunting Camp or utilizing the Vegetable Garden.
  • Clothing Stall Supply: Process hides from the Hunting Camp into leather via a Tannery.
  • Timber: Produce timber from a logging camp and convert it into planks at a sawpit.

Reaching for Level 3: The Ultimate Upgrade

Upgrading to Level 3 brings increased benefits like 2 Regional Wealth per family per month and doubled family capacity. To achieve this, you must fulfill the following prerequisites:

  • Ensure Water Access
  • Establish a Tavern
  • Upgrade Church to Level 2
  • Maintain Fuel Stall Supply
  • Sustain Food Stall Supply 3
  • Secure Clothing Stall Supply 2
  • Gather 25 Regional Wealth, 8 Planks, 4 Timber, and 4 Rooftiles for the Upgrade

Leveling up to 3 requires more effort but building on the previous upgrades helps. Here's how to meet the requirements:

  • Water Access: Confirm water access, a prerequisite from the previous upgrade.
  • Church Level 2: Upgrade the Church if necessary.
  • Construct Tavern: Build and supply a Tavern with Ale, produced from a Level 2 Burgage Plot with a brewery extension fueled by Malt from the Malthouse.
  • Fuel Stall Supply: Choose between a Woodcutter's Lodge or a Charcoal Kiln.
  • Food Stall Supply: Set up a Hunting Camp, Forager’s Hut, and farm for a diverse food supply.
  • Clothing Stall Supply: Create leather at a Tannery and a Cobbler’s workshop on a Level 2 Burgage Plot.
