Exciting updates are in store for fans of the upcoming Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP remaster as the producer has revealed that the game will not only have a digital release but also a physical version. Originally set for a 2023 launch, the remaster was delayed to 2024, with Dragami Games' producer, Yoshimi Yasuda, now aiming for a Summer 2024 release and ensuring fans have the option of a boxed copy.

Back in 2012, Lollipop Chainsaw made its debut, a quirky collaboration between renowned game director Suda51 from Grasshopper Manufacture and filmmaker James Gunn. Despite mixed reviews initially, the game has garnered a cult following, thanks to its unique storyline of cheerleader Juliet Starling battling zombies with her chainsaw. The remastered version will follow suit with both physical and digital releases.

Responding to fervent requests from fans, Yoshimi Yasuda confirmed that alongside the digital version of RePOP, a physical edition will be available at launch, catering to global fans. As for platforms, while no specifics have been disclosed yet, given the game's history on PS3 and Xbox 360, it's highly likely that the remaster will grace current-gen PlayStation and Xbox consoles, possibly with a cross-generation launch akin to Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered.

Additional updates from Yasuda hint at exciting features for the remaster, including the inclusion of a Japanese dub not present in the original release. Players can also anticipate improved combat mechanisms, enhanced hit detection, and upgraded resolution and FPS options, promising a revitalized gaming experience with Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP.
