Now that Sucker Punch has moved on, LEGO should continue the series' legacy.

TT Games, the developers behind the LEGO games, have a ton of experience with adapting superhero stories into their style, so teaming up with Sony to adapt the Infamous series would make sense for both sides. There are three mainline titles in the series, as well as a standalone expansion and some DLC content. LEGO adaptations frequently feature condensed stories, so the developers could retell the series in 2 installments, one covering the story of Cole MacGrath and a second covering the events of Second Son and First Light. These games could also take some creative liberty and let players control other characters that appear in each title or add unique site content.
Infamous Is Perfect For The LEGO Game Formula
Infamous featured a gritty color palette and an edgy aesthetic. This was trendy at the time of its release, but it serves to date the game now. While there is nothing inherently wrong with this, a LEGO Infamous game could feature more vibrant colors and present the story in a manner that is less self-serious. Infamous: Second Son already moved away from the grit of the original and featured a more vibrant world, so a re-imagining could bring some much-needed levity to the original two entries in the series. All the Infamous titles are among Sucker Punch's best games, so seeing them again in LEGO form would be a nostalgic way to revisit the series while updating it.
There Is Still Interest in Infamous
Despite Sucker Punch having moved on to Ghost of Tsushima, fans are demanding Infamous remakes. The popularity of superhero media is no longer at its absolute peak, but the genre is still extremely sought after, and Infamous stands out from other similar properties due to its unique universe. A LEGO Infamous game may not be what fans are asking for right now, but it would be an unexpected and entertaining way to bring the series back for new and returning players alike.
