While same-day subbed releases have become common, the upcoming sci-fi anime Kaiju No. 8 is taking it up a notch. Set to debut in the Spring 2024 season, Kaiju No. 8 will not only have same-day subtitles but also a multi-language dub.

Kaiju No. 8 is based on a manga that gained popularity quickly after its 2020 release. The story is set in an alternate Japan plagued by giant monsters known as Kaiju. The Defense Corps combats these creatures while another group, the Professional Kaiju Cleaner Corporation, handles the aftermath.

The protagonist, Kafka Hibino, works in the cleaning crew but aspires to join the Defense Corps. His life changes when a parasitic kaiju infects him, granting him powers to fight against these monsters and pursue his dream of becoming a hero.

Where to Watch Kaiju No. 8 Dubbed?

Exciting news about the Kaiju No. 8 dub surfaced recently on Crunchyroll, the same platform offering international streaming. The anime will air simultaneously with its Japanese release, with a multi-language dubbed version available shortly after the subbed release.

The dubbed versions will be in English, Latin American Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Castilian Spanish, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The subbed release will sync with the Japanese airing at 10:00 am EDT, followed by the dubbed version at 11:30 am EDT.

AnimeNewsNetwork revealed the English dub cast:

  • Katelyn Barr as Mina Ashiro
  • Adam McArthur as Reno Ichikawa
  • Abigail Blythe as Kikoku Shinomiya
  • Landon McDonald as Soshiro Hoshina

The English dub will be produced by Susie Nixon and scripted by Jarrod Greene, known for their work on popular anime like Attack on Titan and Dragon Ball Z, among others.

Kaiju No. 8 features an international touch with British artist YUNGBLUD performing the opening and American group OneRepublic for the ending theme. The anime's production has garnered significant anticipation and investment worldwide.

Kaiju No. 8 premieres on Crunchyroll in English and more on April 13, 2024.
