The Sowing, also known as the Red Sowing or the Sowing of the Seeds, is a significant upcoming event in House of the Dragon Season 2. The Blacks of Dragonstone summon Dragonseeds to claim riderless dragons to fight in the war. Prince Jacaerys Velaryon leads the Sowing, enticing candidates with promises of honor and wealth.
In the lore of Game of Thrones, characters like Ser Steffon Darklyn and Gormon Massey lose their lives in the Sowing.
